Dag 1: Rijen → Namen

The camper trip through Catalonia begins with a relaxed start. At 3:30 PM, you get into your comfortable camper from Beijs Roadtrips and set course for Namen. This charming Walloon city, located on the Meuse, is the ideal first stop. Stroll through the atmospheric streets or enjoy a Belgian beer on one of the many terraces. It's the perfect introduction to the freedom of camper life, without the stress of a long drive.

Dag 2: Namen → Beaune

Today, a beautiful leg of the journey is on the program, right through the heart of France. You drive to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. This is a magnificent city where you can admire the world-famous Hospices de Beaune, a former hospital with a beautiful, multi-coloured roof. A camper vacation in this region is not complete without a tasting in one of the many wineries in the area.

Dag 3: Beaune → Perpignan

The journey south continues. You approach the border with Spain, and the French Pyrenees loom on the horizon. Perpignan, located in the Roussillon, is your last stop in France. The city has a Catalan atmosphere and an impressive history, which fits well with the theme of your road trip through Catalonia. Visit the Palais des Rois de Majorque and wander through the lively streets.

Dag 4 & 5: Empuriabrava - Cap de Creus & Figueres

You're in Spain! You start your road trip in Spain on the Costa Brava. The first stop is Empuriabrava, the 'Venice of the Spanish coast' with its countless canals. Explore the rugged coastline of the Cap de Creus nature park, a beautiful area with cliffs and bays. Also, visit the surreal Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres. A must-see for every art lover and a highlight of this camper trip.

Dag 5 - 6 - 7: Barcelona

Time for the Catalan capital! Barcelona is a vibrant city full of art, culture, and architecture. Park your camper at one of the campsites in the area and take public transport. Stroll along the famous Ramblas, admire the masterpieces of Gaudí such as the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, and enjoy the delicious tapas and the lively atmosphere. A camper rental in Rijen is the beginning of such a city trip.

Dag 7 & 8: Tarragona

From modern Barcelona, you travel back in time to historic Tarragona. This city, an important Roman center, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Explore the impressive Roman amphitheater, the aqueduct, and the well-preserved old city. From the 'Balcón del Mediterráneo', you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea. Dag 8 & 9: Parc Natural del Delta de l’Ebre

After Roman antiquity, you dive into nature. The Ebro Delta nature park is one of the most important wetland areas in Europe. This bird paradise is perfect for nature and peace lovers. Here you can cycle endlessly on the flat paths, spot birds in the vast rice fields, and enjoy the silence. A perfect stop for a camper trip away from the hustle and bustle.

From the flat delta to the rugged mountains. In the Parc Natural dels Ports, you will find an untouched and wild landscape. This is the perfect place for nature lovers and hikers. Discover deep gorges, impressive rock formations, and the silence of nature. An essential stop for every adventurous camper traveller who loves challenges and beautiful views.

Dag 11 - 12 - 13: Lleida & La Vall de Boí

Lleida, a hidden gem in Catalonia, combines history with modernity. Explore the impressive Seu Vella cathedral on the hill, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Stroll through the old town and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. On your way to La Vall de Boí, you'll drive through the impressive landscape of the Serra del Montsec. This mountain range is known for the spectacular Mont-rebei Gorge. Here, you can take a breathtaking hike on narrow paths carved into the rocks, or explore the gorge by kayak from the Noguera Ribagorçana river. Along the way, you'll also pass the Embalse de Talarn, a beautiful reservoir in the Tremp valley. Enjoy the turquoise water and the surrounding mountains here. You'll end this leg of your road trip Spain in La Vall de Boí. This mountain valley in the Pyrenees is famous for its nine Romanesque churches and a hermitage, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Admire the beautiful architecture and magnificent frescoes. It's an oasis of peace and culture, surrounded by a stunning mountain landscape.

Dag 13 & 14: La Seu d’Urgell

You continue your route through the Pyrenees to La Seu d'Urgell, a city with a rich history. The city is located on the border with Andorra and is famous for its impressive cathedral and the Parc Olímpic del Segre, where you can go rafting and canoeing. It is the ideal base for a camper trip in the mountains, with a perfect mix of culture and outdoor activities.

Dag 14 & 15: Besalú

This is one of the most picturesque villages in Catalonia. Besalú is a beautifully preserved medieval village with an impressive Romanesque bridge that crosses the Fluvià river. Walk through the narrow streets, visit the old Jewish baths, and experience the medieval atmosphere. It is a magical place that you absolutely must have seen during your camper trip through Catalonia.

Dag 15 & 16: Girona

You return to Girona for a further exploration. After your previous short visit, you now have more time to wander through the medieval center, relax on a terrace, or visit one of the many museums. Girona's colourful houses along the river are a feast for the eyes. A must-stop for every camper vacation in Spain that you do on the Costa Brava.

Dag 16 - 17 - 18 - 19: Begur en omgeving

You conclude your road trip through Catalonia on the beautiful Costa Brava. Begur and the surrounding area offer the most beautiful bays, such as Sa Tuna and Aiguablava of Sa Riera (our personal favorite), where you can swim and snorkel. Enjoy the sun, sea, and beach and explore the picturesque coastal towns. The perfect place to relax and end the journey peacefully.

Dag 19: Begur - Arles

Today you start the return journey. You leave Spain and drive to Arles in France. This city in Provence, known for its Roman amphitheater, is the perfect place for an overnight stay and a delicious dinner.

Dag 20: Arles - Dijon

You continue north and stop near the culinary city of Dijon in Burgundy. This is the ideal place to stop and enjoy French life. Dijon has a beautiful historic center and, of course, the world-famous mustard.

Dag 21: Dijon - Breda

This is the last long leg of your camper trip. Today you drive from Dijon back to the area of the Netherlands. You end the day near Breda, so you have a very short drive the next day.

Dag 22: Breda - Rijen

The last morning of the camper vacation. After a final breakfast, you drive the last short distance to Rijen, where you hand in the camper at 11:00 AM. You look back on an unforgettable journey full of adventure.
